Ok, some people hate these leggings and some people love them.I say it really all comes down to how you define leggings.First of all, in my opinion, leggings are NOT pants. They are supposed to be more stretchy and to be worn under really long tops (the kind that are more like short dresses), shorts, or skirts that already cover your derriere all on their own. Leggings provide you extra coverage in case you bend over a little too much or if it's a little chilly. If you want a pair that doesn't show your underwear, you need a pair of pants, not leggings.Secondly, these ARE indeed more like stockings in the way they stretch - very stretchy! However, one SIZE definitely does NOT fit "most". I'm size 8-10. These leggings stretch just enough to fit me. Legs are fine. Upper thighs are stretching a bit thin and becoming a bit see-through. So if you typically wear larger sizes, I would not recommend these.Bottom line - For me, I have a sundress that's just a little risque if I'm not careful. So I wanted to get some "extended coverage". I especially like the ones with lace trimming :) They are cute and just go so well with a dress or skirt. Also, I'm short, so anything beyond a capris length usually end up too long for me. These were perfect.By the way, I've tried several leggings from Gap & Old Navy. They were all much more pants-like. But whether nylon with cotton or polyester, they all itched! These didn't! Thank goodness!As expectedThis is a nice pair of leggings. The lace makes it go with feminine dresses or it can dress up a tunic shirt. They fit pretty well and have been very durable.Daughter loves these leggings! they fit nicely and look amazing. They are more like a thick pair of pantyhose but that's what we were looking for. My daughter is 5'2" so the leggings come about 4" above her ankles. We've been looking for a pair in black; hope to find a pair like this.These were cute under shorts for an 80's themed b-day party, would recommend!I have no excuse I read the reviews and thought "how bad can they be ". Well, if you enjoy seeing every cell of cellulite you have (even on your calves and knees, places I didn't know was possible to have it) then buy these tight. They are super thin almost like panty hose. You definately want to cover your butt in these.These are very thin. Hand wash only. They run very small. I am tiny and ordered a medium. A small would never have worked.They served their purpose. I bought these for a Halloween costume. I was Boo from Monster's Inc. But they were too small to wear any more.
